The Basics of Numerology

There are a core set of numbers which are considered the building blocks of numerology. These are basic numbers 1 through 9, master numbers, angel numbers, and karmic numbers. Given any other number, we can apply the core concept of reduction to arrive at one of these core numbers.

In numerology, the meanings of these numbers are used to create a numerology chart and to understand the energies and traits of an individual.

The core concept of numerology is reduction

Numerology reduction is a technique used to reduce a multi-digit number to a single digit. This is done by adding together the individual digits of the number until you arrive at a single digit.

For example, the number 123 would be reduced to 1 + 2 + 3 = 6. So, the number 123 would be reduced to the single digit 6.

This numerology technique can be used to reduce a person's birth date and name to a single digit (or a master or angel number), which are then used to create a numerology chart. Each digit in the chart has a specific meaning, and the chart as a whole can reveal information about an individual's personality, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as their potential for success and happiness.

Numbers 1 through 9 are the basic numbers to which all numbers, word, and dates can be reduced.

In numerology, master numbers are considered especially powerful and carry a deeper, more spiritual energy, as it holds double the power of the number it reduces to.

In numerology, angel numbers are certain repeating sequences of numbers that are messages from angels or a higher power.
